This policy outlines the duration for which we maintain your records and the rigorous procedures we employ for their permanent destruction. Our primary goal is to ensure your information is only kept for the window of time necessary to provide our calculation services and satisfy Indian statutory obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA). 2. Defined Retention Timelines
We categorize your data into specific functional groups, each with a distinct expiration schedule:
- User Identity & Profile Data: To support secure logins and account recovery, this data remains active while your account is open. Upon account closure, we are mandated by Indian regulatory standards to archive these records for five (5) years for auditing purposes.
- User Experience & Customization: Data related to your app settings and localized preferences is stored for five (5) years from your last active session to ensure a seamless return to our platform.
- System Diagnostics & Technical Metadata: Information regarding app crashes and hardware compatibility is retained for a maximum of two (2) years. This allows our technical team to monitor performance stability and resolve recurring technical issues.
- Security Protocol: Throughout these periods, all information is shielded by end-to-end encryption to prevent unauthorized access.
3. Exercising Your Deletion Rights
You hold the ultimate right to manage your digital footprint within our application:
- Direct Deletion Requests: You may initiate a request for total data removal at any time by emailing business@omalurledger.com from your registered contact point. We will verify and finalize your request within 15 business days, after which data is purged from active systems, save for records required by law.
- Automated Cleanup for Inactivity: To avoid hoarding obsolete data, accounts with no recorded activity for eighteen (18) consecutive months will be scheduled for automatic deletion. We will issue a reminder notice 30 days prior to the cleanup.
- Partner Compliance: Our external service providers are contractually required to align with our deletion timelines, ensuring your data is removed across our entire technical infrastructure.
